Police Warning For Cannabis

Police light 2St Mary’s Police have given a local man a cannabis warning.

That’s the process they can follow if they find a small amount of the drug and they don’t believe it’s being used around children or vulnerable people.

Sergeant Colin Taylor says around 2g of the drug was discovered on the male in a public place. It had been obtained from sources from outside the islands.

The warning means that he won’t be fined and the matter won’t go further.

Spending police time on catching and prosecuting cannabis users is a waste of time. It’s high time cannabis were legalised, regulated and taxed, so saving £billions and creating a legitimate economy that would contribute to the empty state coffers.
