Bryher Holidaymakers Assisted By Coastguard

coastguard 2Three holidaymakers called out Coastguards last night after they got into difficulty returning to Bryher in their dinghy after a night out on Tresco.

Falmouth coastguards received the first 999 call at 1am, when the men said they were cut off and couldn’t get back in their boat.

The emergency services can normally see callers’ numbers but in this case their number was withheld. So when the signal was lost, Coastguards couldn’t call them back.

After a second call from another visitor, the men were located by Tresco Coastguard staff and they made their journey back safely.
