Rugby Player Flown To Hospital

garrison air ambulanceThe Cornwall Air ambulance landed on the Garrison yesterday lunchtime to take a man, injured in the traditional Bank Holiday rugby match, to hospital on the mainland.

The scrum half, who used to live in Scilly and was playing for the local side in the Islanders versus the Rest-of-the-World match, sustained a painful but not serious injury to his shoulder.

The game was a no-score draw.

Organiser Dave Mumford was pleased that the game was competitive and well attended.
