St Martin’s Quay Storm Damage Repaired
The Duchy of Cornwall has repaired St Martin’s Quay following recent storm damage.
The bad weather lifted a chunk of the surface of the top of the Higher Town Quay steps. Duchy Harbourmaster Dale Clark says the section that broke off was, “a few feet across and a several inches deep.”
The structure has been restored by islander James Morton and the work forms part of maintenance to the off-island quays before the peak visitor season.
Dale says St Agnes quay railings have been painted and similar work will be undertaken on Bryher over the next few days.
