Youngsters Enjoying Circus Skills Workshop

circus skills workshop 2013It’s the third day of a school holiday circus skills workshop at the Children’s Centre.

Yesterday, parents viewed the new tricks that their kids had developed, from balancing feathers to juggling and the hardest stunt, riding a unicycle. Around 30 youngsters have taken up the course.

There’ll be another display of talent from 7.30pm at the Carn Thomas hall.

Wez Swain from Circus Stars is impressed that the youngsters have remained focussed for some lengthy training sessions and seem to enjoying learning the tricks. And he says some of the sessions have been particularly long and intense, with key stage 2 youngsters practicing for four hours before their show.

Wez says the workshops teach youngsters that perseverance can bring achievements, to not give up too soon and to realise that anything is possible if you stick with it.
