The parish church charity shop will, this weekend, be donating its takings to the UNICEF appeal for Syrian refugees.

Organiser, Sue Hodgson, says she saw the recent TV appeal by Michael Palin and was very moved by the plight of the children caught up in the civil war.

She says by donating to UNICEF, the money will go directly to helping these younger people by providing clean water, food and better shelter.

Sue’s hoping to reach £200 in takings this weekend but said any amount would be worthwhile for this cause.
