Porthcressa Seafront To Open For Easter Break

porthcressa building work 1The Porthcressa seafront will be open in time for the Easter Weekend.

Diana Mompoloki from the Council says visitors and locals will be able to use the seating and steps down to the beach. The landscaped bank will also be open from the sea garden hedged area to the Porthcressa disco but  signs will ask people not to walk on the grass as the turf still needs to root.

The new shelter will be closed so the new Tourist Information Centre can move in with their soft furnishings. The toilets will be open but the showers won’t be available yet.

The final part of the £4.5m regeneration, the library and register office in the old lifeboat station, are being used as a temporary site office by Kier, now the portacabins have been removed.

The workspace and housing units are on schedule to be completed during the third week of April, Diana says.
