Council To Place Suggestion Boxes In Islands’ Post Offices

suggestion box councilIslanders will be able to offer direct feedback to the Council through suggestion boxes being placed on each island.

Vice chair of the Council Amanda Martin says they are designed to allow islanders and visitors to suggest how the council’s services can be improved.

By the end of the month, each Post Office will have one of the locked white boxes, with additional ones at placed at the Town Hall reception and the Carn Gwavel health hub.

The completed slips will be sent to the community relations officer, George Pearson, at the Town Hall.

George says that whilst people can use the forms to raise concerns about a service, the Council cannot investigate anonymous complaints.

    Katie F,
    It says suggestions not complaints.
But I take it from your tone that suggestions that are anonymous will be ignored.
In which case we’re back to square one.
Although the climate of fear has been reduced since staff changes have taken place, it is still prudent to keep ones opinions to ones self when dealing with certain council depts
