NHS Holding Consultation Session

St Mary's Hospital

The NHS is holding a consultation session on St Mary’s today (February 14th).

Organiser Ben Mitchell says the session will give people a chance to let the NHS know how well they’ve provided health care to the islands.

Attendees will be given their opportunity to say whether they are happy with the service and what can be done to improve things, including matters to do with dignity and respect.

Ben says they’ll use the feedback to see what they’re doing right, what needs to improve and how they can share good practice.

Last year’s consultation made NHS managers aware of the need for improvement with the availability of optometry services on Scilly and as a result it has been added to the service delivery plan for this year, says Ben.

The focus group will take place at the Old Wesleyan Chapel, Garrison Lane, at approximately 3pm (to follow on from the Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee) and all are welcome.
