Scilly Could Have Single Pavilion At This Year’s Royal Cornwall Show
The Isles of Scilly could have a single, joint pavilion at this year’s Royal Cornwall Show June.
AONB manager, Trevor Kirk, said there have been initial discussions with the Duchy, Tresco Estate, travel operators and other interested organisations and they’d agreed ‘in principle’ to have a single presence at the show.
Trevor told attendees at the AONB’s Joint Advisory Meeting yesterday that there’s still some work to be done on how this would be financed and there were no guarantees it would happen yet.
The Isles of Scilly were represented by two stands at last year’s show; one from the AONB and one manned jointly by the Tourism Partnership and the Steamship Company.
The event is seen as major chance to promote the islands to both Cornwall residents and visitors and attracts in excess of 100,000 visitors over the three days of opening.
