Summer Flying Dates To Be Extended

St Mary’s Airport is extending its longer summer opening hours so that Skybus can get more flights in during the shoulder period.

During the summer season the airport is open for flying from 7.30am to 5.00pm, and, after an air traffic controllers’ break, again from 5.30pm until 7.00pm, six days a week.

Those summer hours were scheduled to run from 11th March to the 26th of October next year,  but the sole air operator is expecting extra passenger traffic, so two weeks will be added to the summer opening from 4th March until 2nd November.
