The RNAS Culdrose helicopter evacuated two people from Scilly last night.

A woman suffering gastric problems and an infant were both rushed to Treliske at around 11pm.

The two patients are not related and their medical problems are not connected.

My wife and daughter were also evacuated from St Mary’s yesterday (morning). Huge thanks to everyone at the medical centre, hospital and air ambulance who helped us out. Fortunately the doctors at Treliske confirmed my daughter doesn’t have appendicitis. Unhappy to lose half our holiday, but very happy to confirm our girl is OK.
