Scilly’s Ambulance Service To Share Government Cash

Scilly’s ambulances are set to share £500,000 worth of Government funding for new equipment.

The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust has confirmed that Scilly will benefit directly from the cash which will also be shared across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset.

The money will be spent on ECG machines and pulse oximeters, which indirectly monitor oxygen levels in the blood.

The Trust’s Director of Delivery, Norma Lane said, “Our aim is to provide the right care in the right place at the right time and I am confident that the equipment this investment can provide will further support us in fulfilling this.”
