Consultation Meeting Over Future Of Old Primary School

Old primary school at Carn Gwaval

The Council is holding a consultation meeting on the future of the former Primary School Building at Carn Gwaval as a Health & Wellbeing Centre.

The event will take place on Thursday 1st March between 1pm and 4pm at the Old Wesleyan Chapel.

Amy Hiron from the Community Services Department says, “Now the primary school have vacated the Carn Gwaval building we are looking at options to create a central point for health and wellbeing for the whole community to access and enjoy.

“Our ideas will be showcased at this consultation and we would be keen to hear your views and ideas on these proposals.”

The Carn Gwaval site was vacated by the Five Islands School last September following completion of the new school building.

A brand new sports hall and changing facility, part-funded by Sport England, have also recently been opened there.
