More Damage To Wildlife Trust Grazing Fences

For the second time in two months, St Mary’s Police officers are investigating damage to Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust Property

Officers were contacted on Tuesday after the charity’s signs, warning that electric fences are in use, were removed.

The Trust is currently grazing four ponies and six cows on the Garrison and there are five cattle on the Porthcressa side of Peninnis.

In November, police failed to find any witnesses or gain leads after Sergeant Colin Taylor appealed for help when fence posts were deliberately ripped from the ground and electric wires cut close to Peninnis lighthouse.
