Duchy Apply To LAG For Quay Improvements

St Mary's Harbour

The Duchy of Cornwall is applying for Local Action Group cash to give the Harbourside buildings a makeover and provide better information for visitors, particularly those arriving on cruise ships and the Scillonian.

Harbourmaster Dale Clark says his team has thought hard about ways to improve the visitor experience and most of the money would go on items that could be incorporated into the proposed works to redevelop the quay.

Signage and a clock for passengers would be reusable.

Dale says first-time visitors can often find the quay area confusing and the intention is to provide easy to understand information to help them, including take-away maps.

This is immoral! the Duchy of Cornwall, Prince Charles in other words, this money should be for those that need it, and isn’t the Duchy Land-steward on the LAG panel? I’m disgusted!
