Old Dribblers Beat Younger Team In Annual Football Match

For the first time in recent memory, the Old Dribblers team of over 35 year old footballers has beaten the younger players.

Radio Scilly sports presenter, Mark Twynham, described yesterday’s annual game on The Garrison as “fantastic.”

It looked like the young men had it in the bag at half time with a commanding 4-1 lead.

But after 90 minutes of play, the situation was reversed with a 5-4 victory for the Old Dribblers.

Man of the match for the young side was Neil Jenkins and captain of the Old Dribblers, Eddie Williams, was awarded that honour for his side. Eddie scored 2 goals.

Julian Morrel and Martin Tomkinson also scored for the Dribblers with Howard Cole getting one in the net from 50 yards.

Dale Clark, Paul Williams, and Neil Jenkins scored for the younger team, who also benefitted from an own goal.
