New Vet Surgery Close To Being Paid Off

Last weekend marked the first anniversary of the opening of new veterinary surgery.

After a busy summer of fundraising to recoup the outstanding £190,000 for surgery building, fitting and equipping costs, fundraisers need just £8000 now.

Jo Probert from the Vet Support Group says they’ve had a lower profile of late.

She says the main focus has been to pay off the outstanding debt and then let the surgery run itself, although they will raise money for smaller ongoing needs, such as a shed for storage of equipment and better outside lighting.

Jo says there’s been a great deal of support from visiting animal lovers, particularly those that required veterinary attention during their trip.
