Police Take Alcohol From Underage Drinkers

St Mary’s Police spoke with seven youngsters yesterday after an officer went out to break up a boozy session at the Buzza Tower.

PC Mat Collier was called out by residents at around 10pm on Monday evening. They complained about noise and bottles being thrown into their gardens.

Mat poured away three bottles of spirits and a large pack of lager that the under 18s had with them. He says they were polite and respectful.

Sgt Colin Taylor says no further action will be taken against the members of the party but he would like to know who bought the drink for them, which apparently came from the Coop.

Colin says if he finds out who supplied the alcohol he may prosecute them.

The litter has been cleared up.
