Wildlife Film-Makers Offer Free Video For Accommodation

A group of University of Cumbria degree students is offering to make a publicity video to promote an islands’ accommodation provider in return for putting them up.

The ten wildlife and media students, who plan to visit in April, say they’d be happy with a field in which they could pitch their own tents.

The undergraduates are in their second year of a course in wildlife and media and are travelling here to film our diverse sea and animal life.

The group ranges in age from early 20s to a 60-year-old mature student, Daniel Sencier.

Daniel says the group discovered Scilly’s wildlife by chance. They had planned to go to Cornwall but while researching the area came across Scilly and felt there was much more to film here in Spring.

He says there’s so much potential filming material here they’re confident they’ll get some good footage.

Most of the students hope to work as professional wildlife photographers and film-makers.
