Wildlife Treasure Hunt Gives Kids Facts On Garrison

Jaclyn Pearson and Rebecca Steggles

Youngsters had the chance to burn off some energy while learning a bit of natural history at the weekend.

The AONB, Wildlife Trust and RSPB came together to organise a Treasure Hunt with clues laid out around the Garrison.

Rebecca Steggles from the AONB said the clues were related to the wildife and history of the Garrison and she hoped there’d be plenty of wildlife for the kids to see, particularly the sea and garden birds living in the area.

Jaclyn Pearson from the Wildlife Trust told us they’d hidden treasure somewhere on the Garrison. She was hoping the kids wouldn’t find it too quickly but just in case, they’d managed to build in plenty of activities along the way to slow them down and get them thinking.
