ITV’s This Morning Filming On Islands

Phil Vickery from ITV's This Morning show

An ITV film crew has been in Scilly for three days with “This Morning” chef, Phil Vickery.

The islands will feature as one of five destinations in the “Food Odyssey” feature on the programme. The crew have also filmed on Bute, Sark and Gibraltar.

Phil cooked up a crab chowder with the staff at the Hell Bay Hotel on Bryher, rowed with the Tresco and Bryher gig crew and visited the St Martin’s vineyard.

St Martins Bakery owner Toby Tobin Dougan taught him to make pasties.

Phil says the series is all about good food in remote places in the UK.

He says they have filmed on some other islands but says nothing compares to Scilly for a sense of peace and tranquility.

This is Phil’s second visit to Scilly. He says it rained constantly during his first visit so he’s pleased this time the weather has been glorious and says he intends coming back to St Martin’s with the rest of the family.
