Islands’ Representatives At Group Travel Show In Birmingham

Images of our islands and Scilly fudge are being used to attract decision makers planning group trips to UK destinations, to a stand at a major tourism trade event this week.

A team from Islands Marketing, the Steamship Company and British International Helicopters is attending the Group Leisure and Travel Show at the NEC in Birmingham again today.

The trade exhibition is considered important because attendees are trying to find ideas for their future customers’ tours.

Here more about the exhibition from Jess Smalley

Jess Smalley says they have fielded all sorts of questions and comments from industry tourism professionals, including lots of questions about travel right through to ideas on specialist holidays.

There will be around 4000 people at the event.

Jess says that, while this sounds small, these are the people who will be choosing destinations to add to their 2012 itineraries, so are exactly the right people to talk to.
