Coastguard Called Out To French Yacht

The Intawana being towed by St Mary's Harbourmaster yesterday

St Mary’s Coastguard and members of the Lifeboat crew were called out early yesterday afternoon after a French yacht got into difficulty in Porthcressa.

The Intawana, with 2 onboard, had anchored at low tide in the bay but when the low tide came she ended up on rocks.

The harbourmaster launch, Pegasus was used to tow the vessel around to the harbour. There was grazing to the boat and the rudder and propeller may also need some attention.
