Police Warn Late Night Pub-Goers To Keep Noise Down

St Mary’s police are warning pub-goers that if there is late night noise when premises open for extended drinking hours, the police will object to any future late licenses.

Sergeant Charlie Craig says there were complaints last weekend from Hugh Town residents, particularly about people going from the disco back to the Mermaid after 1.00am on Sunday morning.

He requested that islands “please keep the noise down” if they want the pubs to still be able to open late.
