Bath Rams Cricket Club Touring The Islands

Our Islands’ cricketers are being invited to Bath for a return match after a team from that city completed their third tour of the islands yesterday.

The Bath Rams Cricket Club has been coming to the islands for the past three years and secured a win over Tresco yesterday, following a narrow defeat by St Martin’s on Saturday.

Charles Nunn from the Rams says Scilly is a ‘magical place’ to play and the standard of cricket here is high – he says out of the three years they’ve been coming, they’ve only won two matches against teams from the islands.

James Nunn says the visitors were worried that the weather would affect their fun but in the end they managed to get in the full 20 overs.

And he says he’d welcome any islanders who wanted to go on tour in Somerset.
