Visit By Marco Polo Cruise Ship

The Marco Polo, visiting Scilly on Saturday

The St Mary’s harbourmaster says he’s pleased with yesterday’s visit of the Marco Polo cruise ship.

770 visitors were on board and, before the ship departed for Guernsey at 8.00pm, 667 had come ashore to either Tresco or St Mary’s although Dale Clark says the low water brought a worrying start.

The majority of the passengers were British.
