Come Line Dancing At The Town Hall

Sandi Ball

Scilly’s line dancing group hopes that using a new town centre venue for a one-off event will rekindle interest in their pastime.

This Tuesday the Town Hall will be used as a venue for the Scilly Beez for the first time.

The club has been running sessions for around 15 years and at one time up to 40 people took part. Now, although the numbers of participants fluctuate, especially with summer visitors joining the group, average turnout is about 10.

Group member Sandi Ball says its good fun and if it’s the country and western music that puts you off, then you shouldn’t be deterred, as that’s only a small part of what they play. She says it would be great to see some old faces come down to their event at the Town Hall.
