Two days of cake sales by youngsters of the Tresco and Bryher school has  brought in £701 towards the £250k appeal to restore Tresco’s St Nicholas church.

Teacher at the Tresco School base, Susannah Gates, says the pupils received the highest commendation and praise from the 80 visitors they served on Tuesday.

Indeed, they had to bake more cakes to meet demand yesterday!
