If you have a project or business idea that will conserve and enhance the environment of Scilly or contribute to social and economic development on the islands you’re being asked to apply for your share of a £48,000 fund.

Rebecca Steggles from the AONB says she and the other staff will help you with your application, but they need the forms filled in and returned by July 15th.

The fund can’t usually give you all the cash you need, but special cases may be given special consideration.

The fund usually only offers part funding of your project but you can mix it with other grants and Rebecca says the Local Action Group may be a potential source for matched funding.

Rebecca says a number of projects have benefited so far including the gig club and Art Scilly
