Health Watchdog Seeking Feedback On Maternity Services On Scilly

St Mary's Health Centre

Have you had a baby in the last four years in Scilly or at Treliske?

The Health watchdog Link wants your feedback ahead of a meeting with NHS bosses on Monday.

A team from the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust will meet with the Link representative Dr Adrian Davis.

Link’s Carol Clarke says islanders have complained that they want more extensive support through pregnancy. At present, access to the local midwife is limited because of financial constraints and she can only help mums over 37 weeks and  those who have elected to give birth here.

If you dont fall into that category you have to get advice from a helpline or the doctor.

But local mums-to-be say they want to see someone they know.
