Police To Monitor Buzza Hill Following Complaints

Buzza Hill, scene of late night parties

The police on St Mary’s say they’ll keep an eye on Buzza Hill after they received calls from the public following a late night gathering on Thursday.

Around half a dozen adult seasonal workers tried to make the most of a mild evening with a midnight guitar and singing session in the quarry

PC Mark Blyth says the Quarry area has a history of gatherings and, as it’ll soon be a playpark again, they’re going to discourage its use as an afterhours drinking venue.

Mark says, “We get so many complaints about the noise and mess that we tend to have to break up the party prematurely.”

PC Mat Collier says the venue isn’t good for parties as the noise seems to be amplified and then carries straight across Hughtown
