Lonely Planet Mag To Feature Scilly

The marketing company that works for Island Marketing, Mercury PR, has helped secure a full-colour nine page article promoting Scilly in the latest Lonely Planet magazine which will be out in June.

60,000 people read it and the spread is said to be worth £120,000 if it had to be paid for.

The article  says that the islands are familiar and yet utterly unique, highlighting local food production and featuring pictures of Ben Blackwell as he prepares to catch lobster, Bruce Christopher of Borough Farm and Nikki at the Turks Head on St Agnes.

They recommend a cream tea at the Star Castle Hotel and food at the St Martins Bakery.

William the Bryher goat is also highlighted as tattraction.
