Year’s First Vet Support Fayre Raises Over £1000

This Year’s First Isles of Scilly Veterinary Support Group Summer Fayre got off to a flying start yesterday by raising £1,101

The group of volunteers are dedicated to giving practical support to the resident veterinary practice by improving the surgery facilities and equipment.

Jo Probert said this was a fantastic result, and thanked all those who supported the event, especially Jane Hamilton and Karrie Skaife for organizing the Fayre, but also the local artists who donated their artwork to sell, to Jane Hurd for selling her plants and Jill Wilson for her ‘Sew Scilly’ items.

Pam Manning also attended, promoting her ‘Creature Comforts’ at the Fayre, a service she runs for the IOSVSG lending out items to pet owners including dog beds, bowls and towels, saving visitors having to bring all their pets’ gear with them on holiday. Details of this service can be found here.

The next Summer Fayre will be taking place on Tuesday 28th June at the Town Hall 10.00 – 5.00
